The Leathercraft Directory was created to make genuine leathercraft businesses, makers, trainers, events and specialist services easier to find.

It was founded from within the UK leathercraft trade, after seeing how difficult it can be to discover the people, skills and businesses that support the craft. The directory is independently operated and applies the same listing rules to every participant.

How listings work

Applying, an approved listing, profile updates, a normal link to your own website, course and event submission, search inclusion, a private enquiry form and annual confirmation are all free, always.

Approved members may optionally contribute £5 towards the yearly cost of hosting, maintenance and security. This contribution is entirely voluntary and has no effect on your listing, visibility, placement, website links or access.

Every listing is reviewed before it is published, and again after material changes. Placement is never for sale, and no listing is ranked above another for payment.

Inclusion in the directory confirms only that a listing was accepted under the directory’s eligibility and content rules. It does not constitute accreditation, certification, endorsement or a guarantee of goods, services, training, conduct or suitability.

Contact and enquiries

Enquiries to listed members are forwarded privately through the directory. Members’ direct contact details are not published unless a member chooses to publish them.
